Line Dance Tuition - Scunthorpe - Lincolnshire
Hi, I'm Julie!
And welcome to my Line Dance Club. We are all very friendly, enjoy a relaxed, informal environment and meet every Tuesday at Campbell's Ballroom in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire, and on Thursdays at the Royal Hotel Scunthorpe
I run a range of classes, catering for all different abilities - and all for fun! So if you would like to join us keeping fit the fun way, come along to the Campbells Ball Room on Doncaster Road in Scunthorpe.
About Me
My education and love of dancing started at the tender age of 3, and includes to date experience and training in styles ranging from tap, ballet, modern, latin, ballroom, disco and, of course, in later years, Line Dancing.
About My Classes
If you have never danced before, have never danced "Line Dance", or possibly even done some Line Dance in the past and are looking to return, then I think you would probably benefit from attending my beginners class first.
The beginners class is an ideal place to start because when teaching a dance, I use the technique of positive re-enforcement and revision to make sure you really get it! Also, if you come along to the Beginners class you will learn the correct dance terminology as used by CWDC and Masters In Line so in future you can pick up dance steps even quicker. This means that when I say "Vine Right", you won't think I've lost it and am talking about my garden!
During intermediate classes, I teach popular line dances such as Head Over Heels and Irish Stew. Intermediate classes are more of a "requests driven" social evening with a suitable break, bar facilities and typically a good gossip afterwards!
If you are looking for a challenge then you could try joining the advanced class and learning some of the more advanced dances. Typically the advanced class will focus on teaching one new dance per week, but occasionally quite demanding dances can take a little longer. It is only a thirty minute class, although this seems to work well as it's just long enough to learn an advanced dance from scratch.
Please note that all my classes are open only to adults over the age of 18.
